Counseling at CCEC

Everyone needs help and support at some point in their lives.

Whether it's managing a life transition, grieving a loss, facing challenges in a relationship, or simply because you need someone to talk to, CCEC is here to help. With the generosity of the Santa Barbara community behind us, CCEC is able to provide confidential and affordable counseling services to individuals, couples, children, teens and families. Our bilingual counseling staff consists of associate therapists and graduate student trainees working under the guidance and supervision of some of the area's most knowledgeable and experienced clinical staff.

Each counselor is trained to help clients in numerous ways including: managing challenging and painful life situations in healthy, healing ways; providing you with tools for enhanced communication; or identifying and halting self-defeating coping mechanisms. We are here to support you in actualizing a happy, healthy, rewarding life.

Your well-being, supported by community.

The current average for a therapy session in Santa Barbara is $200. All sessions at CCEC are subsidized in part by local donors who stand with you in your journey toward growth and healing. With the generosity of community, clients end up paying between $35 and $75 per session, depending on income.

With your Santa Barbara family behind you, you can get the help you need at a rate you can afford.

8 weeks to ignite the work.

Clients begin therapeutic work with weekly sessions for a minimum of 8 weeks. Weekly sessions allow client and therapist to develop a sense of comfort and trust, and to maintain consistency in the important work being done. After this initial period, the frequency of sessions can be evaluated. For the initial period of 8 weeks, weekly commitment is required.
